Double Stroller?

Anyone have any thoughts on umbrella type double strollers? It seems they are smaller when folded. There is a chicco twin double and Maclaren Twin Triumph in particular that I see as possible option.

Re: Double Stoller?

I love my Graco Quattro Duo - can actually be adapted for 2 infant seats (for future use if needed). My kids are 18 mo to the day and my now 26m loves riding it front. folds fairly compactly and is narrow enough that you can manuever most aisles in malls. i put one side down in my expedition and can use the other part of seat. Has a high weight limit - 40 and 50 lbs - think the 50 is front.
Would NOT recommend umbrella stroller for infants - there is not back and neck support for the baby - not good for them.

good luck!

The Maclaren twin techno has a full recline so plenty of support for a newborn, the Triumph wouldn't be great until about 3 mos when they have more head/neck control. The Macs also have a 55# weight limit so it could be used for a long time.

The Mountain Buggy Urban Double is a fabulous SBS, it could be used in the mall but not the easiest, it does however have an infant seat attachment.

I have an urban single and a single techno and my 5 yr old could easily ride in either but he's kind of small 40" 38#

The P&T will *easily* fit into the back of small vehicles. Ours fits with space left over for a 27" suitcase in the back of our MazdaSpeed3 hatchback *without removing the cover on the hatch*.

It also fits really well into older vans that do not have the wells in the back. It really does fold up super small.

We have a Maclaren Twin Techno as our umbrella double and airline stroller. It works great, but for everyday use... I still vote the P&T. :)
