Cross-eyed from convertible shopping

I have been driving myself (and DH) nuts looking at seats for weeks now. I feel like I've read every thread (on the TFP in particular), and just when I've decided, another comment makes me think twice. So here's the whole situation:

DD - 7.5 mo, in a bucket. Still has at least 1 inch and abt 2 lbs to go before outgrowing..but will get the new seat as soon as I decide and just leave the bucket in DH's car (2000 Forrester)

DS - 3 yo in a MA in my car (2000 Voyager), ff in an AOE in DH's car. 38.5" tall, 28 lbs.

Am going to give the MA to DD in hubby's car and get two new seats for my car. First choice (that I keep being swayed from and brought back to) is a TFP for DD and a GN for DS.

I like the built-in lockoffs and the ARB in the TFP, but don't like any cover choices (grey interior, want something girly). Also worried abt being able to reach harness adjuster, heard it was tough on TF but it seems like it is supposed to be better on the Premier? Ugh. Also looking at another Britax (anything that makes sense, since we've had a RA and a MA and LOVED them both) and certainly open to any suggestions that will point my eyes straight forward again rather than at each other...

PLEASE give suggestions for one or both seats...DS would like a BLUE seat for Mommy's car, don't know how blue I can get a GN and obviously open to opinions on that one as well. Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance!

Is your son forward facing in both cars, or just your husbands? I would pass down one or both of his convertibles to the rear facing child and get him dedicated forward facing seats.

Have you looked at the Frontier and Maestro? I'm not sure what cover choices are available.

The TFP comes in that adorable pink and brown pattern (Pink Polka Dotty). Of course, all of the cute polka dots are on the infant padding. Once that isn't necessary anymore, you just have a plain pink fabric on the inside of the seat. But it's still cuter than gray for little girls!
