Compact double stroller recommendations

New idea... Since it looks like the top, where the big wheels and canopy are too wide to fit. What about just folding one split seat down (I rarely have to use ALL 5 seats) putting the small side of it behind the seat that's up and the big side where the seat is folded down? Does that make sense? I'd still have to tie that top to something, but that might not be as difficult. Thoughts?

I think that would almost definitely work!

Got my new quest today. :D I was able to get it to fit with the seats in the 'riding' position in the back!! :) Here's what it looks like.

The wheels by the handles push in enough that the hatch closes! So, my next question... what the difference of measurement between the widest part of the twin triumph compared to the quest and how much will it compress to fit? Thoughts? I'm guessing not enough, but it's worth a try. :)

Wow, I really wasn't getting how small that space is until now. I wish I still had my twin triumph to compare. What I can tell you is that the wheels on the twin triumph are smaller than the quest. I think they are 4.5" versus 5" on the quest, but I'm going by memory on that. So, unless the hoods stick out farther, it is possible it will compress just a little bit more, but it is also possible that having to hoods will reduce the ability to compress it as much. I'm just not sure without being able to test it. The main dimension that they differ on would be the width. Although the open twin isn't a lot wider, when folded there is a third set of wheels and a second hood so folded the width has to be larger. I wish I could be of more help. That's a tough situation you're in and I hope you're able to get it to fit (or find some good solution).

Gorgeous colors on that quest!

OK I officially feel like a jerk. I totally forgot to take measurements. I am going to do it tonight but won't be home until late. I will post tomorrow.

So did you wind up with just a single? I do love that blue!! Where did you end up purchasing from? I'm still hunting for a lightweight double stroller and need it by next weekend because we will have Ethan & Chase and I don't want to lug the BOB around!

Not a problem. I understand completely!! Take your time. I'm not going to actually be able to buy anything until next month anyway.

I'm getting both a single and double. I watch daycare kids off and on and needed something for when I only have one and when I have more than that. :) I usually just borrow a double from a friend and the single I had was just too big (Graco Cleo).

I got the Mac Quest from http://stores.ebay.com/babyproductsstore
I found it recommended from another thread. It sounds like it might be the Mac distribution center and they sell the 'leftovers'. The one I got is a 2008 model, but still new. I  the pattern! They have a couple of twin triumphs listed for about 199 on there right now. I'm hoping they have some on there still in a month or so.
