Chaperone need the infant insert??

I am due Monday (and will be induced then if I make it), and have a Britax Chaperone for baby I got off the swap board here. It didn't come with the low birth weight insert, I asked the seller and she said she'd look for it- but I haven't heard anything else since. My LO should be 8+ lbs, do you think I will need it?? I've waited long enough now that I won't even be able to order it and get it in time if I do

I have not found it necessary for any but the smallest babies I've seen in them. In fact with larger babies it often makes it hard to get them in!

My girls were under 7# and the infant foam was NOT necessary.

Just had dd2 in july. She was 8 lb 4 oz and around 7 lbs 7 oz when we left the hospital. She did not fit comfortably in the seat with the foam. She was just about too tall for it to fit properly, too. I wouldn't worry about it. Dd2 was well over first couple of notches.
