What would be the best inexpensive options for a car seat for a 5 & 3/4 year old that is on the taller side? I would prefer one that could also be used as a booster in the future. Thanks!

Hi, so you are looking for a combination seat- harness then booster modes. FYI, many families prefer a dedicated booster later, so you may still find yourself buying one at some point.
What vehicle or vehicles? How much does the child weigh? What is the seated torso height (sit child cross legged against wall, measure from high point of shoulders to floor)? Budget?

He is 43 lbs, & it would go in a 2010 Ford F-150 w/ the larger backseat. I would like to keep him harnessed as long as possible. I am hoping to pay around $110 or less. Thanks

I love the Chicco myfit . Kept my friends 7 year old harness until he hit it by weights then he lose some weight so back into the harness we went. Perks of having a car seat freak for an aunt.
For $110, there are a few options. The Graco Tranzitions/Wayz, Harmony Defender (if you can find it) or sometimes the Graco Atlas or Nautilus are all long lasting options.
