Bubblebum for 5 year old

We'll be in Florida for a week at the end of the month and I was wondering if it might be possible to use a bubblebum for a 36 pound, 45 inch, 5 year old. He uses a 5-point harnessed seat at home. The packaging states 40 pounds, so I'm inclined not to, but if his height and age seem okay for a few short trips back and forth to a theme park, I'd much rather take the bubble bum than his big heavy seat. What do you think?

No, you can't use the BubbleBum. As you stated, he doesn't meet the minimums. They're there to keep him safe.

A Ride Safer Travel Vest may work, or a Harmony Youth Booster. But at 36 pounds if you're flying the lap belt on the plane may not fit either, so I'd probably bring his carseat. Or something like an Evenflo Maestro which is a very lightweight seat. Or an Evenflo Chase if you only need a travel seat for this one trip.
