Britax Fontier clicktight not opening all the way

There is a flat piece of plastic behind the cushions that seems,like it is supposed to slide up when I open the clicktight 'door'. Well it doesn't slide up on it's own and then the door can't lift all the way open. Pushing it open causes this plastic piece to start to bend. I have to reach behind the cushion and push it up out of the way so the door opens all the way. Does this make sense? Anyone else have this issue? It doesn't affect the clicktight but still a pain to have to do. Doesn't seem right to me.

I haven't had that issue, but it's not normal. You should definitely call Britax customer service tomorrow.

I didn't experience that (and it's been a while since I used the seat, so it's hard for me to envision what you mean). Like ketchupqueen said, though, that doesn't sound right. The panel should open and close easily. Definitely give Britax a call.

I haven't had any issues with my frontier click tight. But now I'm super curious and might go out to the car and see what happens when I open it and look around....
