I was in an accident and have to replace seats. I habe it narrowed down to the Diono Rainer OR the Britax Boulevard Click Tight. What are your experiences with either or both of those? Thanks!

I've never used or installed a Diono. I was considering b/t these two also (well three--had the Advocate on my list, too).

I decided on the Britax Advocate (really only picked it over the Blvd b/c of the pattern and it was on sale, not too worried about the added SIP cushions on it).

I can see where the Clicktight feature could be a problem, but thus far, I really like the seat. It's not perfect, but it really does install easily and nice and tight in a hurry. The harness adjuster slides smoothly. The buckle is easy enough. It has a rear facing tether. The fabric is nice. It's deep enough for me to feel that dd is safe, but shallow enough that I can lift her out without hurting myself (tough for me with arthritis). Aside from the potential of the CT to be annoying...it could be easier....the only thing that bothers me is the harness adjuster's location...it's buried in a plastic "tube" and if you are petite, it could be tough to reach it. If you are a larger person, it may be a tight squeeze to get your finger to even fit to reach access the harness adjuster, which is just ridiculous!

Overall, we're pleased and our 14 month old loves her new seat!

The Boulevard CT is the tallest seat for rear-facing, so if your goal is to keep your child rear-facing forever, that's the seat you want. The only downside is that it doesn't have as deep a seat pan as the Rainier, so for rear-facing, your child's legs might feel a bit more cramped.

I find the ClickTight to be super easy to use for installation and that's the only time you really mess with it. The Rainier simply won't be as easy to install.

If you ever go in another car, you are much less likely to encounter an incompatibility with the clicktight convertibles than a ranier, too. They are so much less quirky, easier to install, and more compact. I'm a big fan.

The Advocate CT is the same as the Boulevard CT, just with added cushions on the sides...in case you prefer that.
