Question Britax Boulevard in RX330

Hello,

New to site...we just purchased a convertible car seat for our 11 mo daughter. We bought the Britax Boulevard and went to the car seat installer at the hospital where she was born to ensure proper installation in our 2005 Lexus RX330. He said the footprint/base was too large to place it in the center, which we all know is the safest location in the car. I've been trying to read up on this and it sounds like some folks haven't had this issue unless I'm misunderstanding or their RX330's are newer and have larger center seats? Has anyone had any experience with this specific car seat and car? If so, what car seat did you end up buying? I'd rather change seats and keep her in the center vs moving her to the side.

I plan to call our local Lexus dealer as well but not sure if they have a car seat expert.

Hi there.

I'd be surprised if your Lexus dealership knew anything about carseats.

When trying the install in the middle with the seatbelt and lockoff, what didn't work? Was it unstable? Was it tipping? Did the front of the base hang over the front of the backseat? I've installed many seats there, I've never had an issue.
