Anyone buy a Radian in the last month?

Is Diono saying that you took a risk in buying that seat at a huge discount and now you have to suck it up? On one hand, I can see why they won't warranty seats that are sold to discount retailers. On the other, it would be nice to have a working seat. Hope you get a fair resolution.

Well, Allana Pinkerton called me yesterday (I've been contacting her with regards to something else) to see what they are doing for me. She said what they WILL do (on her request) is send a call tag to pick up my seat and send it to them. The engineers will look at the seat to see if they can duplicate the problem. If they can, they will send me a new seat. If not, they will send mine back and we see what happens. All at their expense.
Allana was SUPER nice, I had a nice chat with her and hope I get to meet her in person at our conference in October (she's working on being able to come).

Should I ask to keep my cover here? I do have another Radian I can put it on if they decide to keep mine and send me a new seat.

I probably would not, unless you expect the potential new seat to come to you naked. Although you could ask if you SHOULD remove the cover, I guess. To ask if you can keep the cover seems like "pushing it" by asking for more (potentially a free spare cover) when they're reluctant to even do a warranty replacement.
