Question Airbag "off" switches not allows in the US anymore?

The Smart manual does. First time I've seen it too.

I'm also concerned by the fact that most parents DON'T read their manuals and won't know you can't put a baby there. Sure, fine to say it's their responsibility, but we have studies showing people don't read manuals in large numbers. So we need to be protecting kids from parents' mistakes by making things obvious and simple, as well as educating.

Did people realize that this was going to sunset the same way that people realized the lockability standard had a sunset?
eta: I realize that the sunset was removed on the lockability standard, but I know it took some complaints to have it removed.
