Question Adjusting recline when rear facing

When many of the car seats I've tried are rear facing I can't seem to adjust the recline due to lack of accessibility to the recline handle. When a car seat is rear facing is the recline not supposed to be able to be adjusted? We are planning a long road trip and I want to be able to have it sitting up while my baby is playing or looking at books but more reclined when she's sleeping or having a bottle.

Most seats can not be adjusted while installed. You have to uninstall, adjust the recline, and install again. How old and big is your baby? The Graco Click Connect 40 can be easily adjusted in its base. I can't think of any other seats at the moment. Maybe someone else can.
