Question about lbb

When is it safe to go to a lbb? My ods is 7yrs 59 lbs and about 50 inches tall. He has been asking to go to a lbb. He wants the evenflo amp. My biggest issue is that he still naps in the car. Thats what Ive been telling him, where would you put your head when you nap? He hates the feel of most of the fabric on hbb we have tried in the store. He likes something very soft. He is in a evenflo sightseer right now, this was our back up seat.

I'd put him in a lbb over a Sightseer, but if he sleeps often then I'd want him in a high back, ideally. Unless he can sleep without slumping.

I agree I'd rather see him in a new LBB than the Sightseer - I'm not a big fan of that seat's belt guides. What is the age on that booster?

Is he able to fall asleep in the car without slumping to the side? It is actually quite dangerous for a child to sleep and slump against the door of the vehicle, so if he does that, I'd be seeking out a new HBB for him.

The sightseer expires next year. Its not my favorite seat either. But it fits him much better than my dd. He doesnt sit next to a door. He sits in the 3rd row of our Venture, but he is outboard. I dont know if hed slump while sleeping in a lbb. Thats why Im leary about it. Are there any good deals on a turbo around right now?
