Question 2012 Grand Caravan

I have a 2012 Grand Caravan and we just went threw 3 different convertible car seats. None of them fit due to the extreme slope of the seats. Is there any suggestions of a car seat, that isn't too expensive, that will fit safely?

I feel your pain! I have the 2010 so should be the same body style...the seats are terrible!

How old and how heavy is your child?

The Diono Radian (any model) fits perfectly and installs quite easily with LATCH. It's like they are made for each other ;)
(the R100 model is the least expensive)

The Maxi Cosi Pria 70 also reclines enough for even a younger baby. If you have a newborn you could get the one with the Tiny Fit insert, otherwise you'd be fine without it.

Right now my 16 month old daughter is riding rear facing in the Captains chair in a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 5-70 convertible seat. She sits a little bit upright in it, but not uncomfortably so. She is old enough so she doesn't need an extreme recline like a newborn would. She is able to sleep just fine without her head slumping down. It's my new favorite seat!

ETA: You could also try the Safety 1st Guide 65 which is very inexpensive if you have a lower budget. Or the Safety 1st Complete Air which you can find at BabiesRus. Or the Graco MyRide.

Just wondering, what convertibles and how (and where) are you trying to install them?

The captain chair slope is pretty dramatic, but they are pretty car seat friendly, especially rear-facing.

I have twin 14 months olds. They are about 17 lbs. So you can see why we are on a budget, but still don't want to skip on safety. We tried the Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite. Evenflo triumph. Cosco brand... We looked at a couple others that don't fit also( didn't try them but at the slope of the car seat their is no way it would work) . We are going to try the Britax Boulevard and Graco My size today. They are a little more expensive though.

Actually rear facing is where we are having the trouble. They aren't as friendly as I hoped. The slope is so dramatic that we bought foam to fit under but still was to wobbly for my comfort. Forward facing we haven't even looked at, but now I'm definitely going to make sure they fit both ways!

Thanks for your input. If you have anymore I would appreciate it!
