2007 Sienna - 3 Across: 2 convertibles, 1HBB

2007 Toyota Sienna 7 passenger. Third row has no anchor for FF tether on driver side.

Kids:
Kid 1. 3 month, 15lb, 24in
Kid 2. 2 yo, 28lb, 34in
Kid 3. 4 yo, 42lb, 42in
Kid 4. Just turning 6yo, 45lb, 45in

Current setup:
Kid 1. Britax BSafe 2P (2nd row passenger captain seat) using Latch
Kid 2. Britax Boulevard FF 2D (2nd row driver side) using Latch and tether
Kid 3. Britax Boulevard FF 3P (3rd row passenger side) using Latch and tether
Kid 4. Britax Boulevard FF 3M (3rd row middle seat) using Latch and feather

Kid 4 is ready to move to a high back booster. He uses a backless booster in dad’s truck for school drop off but we take long trips in my van and he needs the extra support for falling asleep in my van.

I’d like to try to get three across in the back row if possible. Want to keep Kid 1 (the baby) in a captains chair in the 2nd row.

One of our Britax Boulevards is expiring so I cannot pass it down to baby in June so we can buy another convertible seat if that helps and just have an older kid in the third row use that new seat.

So what can I fit in the third row? I’ll have one FF Britax Boulevard and need another convertible and a high back booster to fit. Note: only a booster (or RF convertible or infant seat) will work in third row driver bc there is no anchor for tether for FF).

I’ve heard RodiFix is a slim booster. I’ve heard Radian is a slim convertible and puzzles well with Britax convertibles when both are FF. I’ve heard Radian doesn’t have a great install FF in the middle third row of a 2007 Sienna. I like the Britax Skyline 2-stage booster but I don’t think it will fit? I’d like to avoid buying a booster that is outgrown quickly.

I’ve read a bunch, looked up a bunch, but has anyone made it work in real life? Limited local brick and mortar stores for testing it out.

I already have to buy a new convertible and a new high back booster. I’d love to be able to keep one of the Britax Boulevards that I already have in the back row. Technically I’ve got a Britax Boulevard (not click tight) and a Britax Emblem Allegiance (which is exactly the same as a Boulevard without click tight).

Budget is not without limits but I want to avoid a $500 car seat. If I’m paying $75-250 per car seat/booster I can swing that to avoid needing a new car lol.

Ok. I don't know that you'll keep the boulevard in the mix but you can try.

Another thing to mention is that your seats max out at 40 lbs for the lower anchors. You need to switch the oldest 2 to seatbelt and tether install immediately while you work on this.

The Rodifix often does well 3 across, the Peg Perego Flex 120 is even narrower (in the narrowest setting) at the widest point. The Radians won't be long lasting or work well center. The Graco Tranzitions and Harmony Defender have the same issue there. You might barely get an acceptable install with the Tranzitions SnugLock, which is a new option. It's still a difficult install but may be worth trying (you can order online and return to target or Amazon easily if it doesn't work.) Or, putting a Tranzitions Snuglock outboard and the Boulevard center might be possible, you'd have to try and see what works. (All seatbelt installs will definitely be necessary to fit, regardless of lower anchor weight limits.)

I think that the FF lower latch limit for the Britax Boulevard G4 and the Emblem/Allegiance are both 50 pounds. 40lbs is for RF in these seats from what I’ve read so I believe they are safe for now unless there’s an update I’m not aware of.

But yes, they’ll all be a seatbelt install if we have 3 across. Thank you. I’ll look more into the Rodifix. Seems to be the most recommended. We don’t need to do 3 across all the time but certain months of the year we have an additional adult with us in the van and it’d be nice for them to not have to squeeze into the space that is left in the third row bench after two giant seats are already installed. Pretty comical when an adult had to climb into that seat.

I just double checked. The Emblem and Allegiance are 50, but the Boulevard G4 manual says 40 lbs

Sorry, I checked our manuals and we’ve got a G4.1 made after June 2015 (not a G4) so the FF latch limit is 50lbs. Sorry I wasn’t specific.
