Very cool! It's interesting to see a few seats that are currently on the market (boosters especially) look basically unchanged from older models...

Can someone explain to me the mercedes top safe? How the heck does the infant carrier snap into the rear facing car seat?

edit from my first questioning post... um... yeah, it's an infant seat that snaps into a convertible... infant seats can snap into anything bigger than they are, so I don't think it's too weird (it's based on a European seat that does the same thing, I gather, all those 'car' brands are).

I think it's a pretty snazzy idea actually. You could buy "one" seat and not have to buy another harnessed seat. If that one goes high enough...

I must be missing something cause the only Mercedes infant seat I see is the Baby Smart.

I want to know where I can buy a current touriva. According to the pictorial it is still being manufactured- or at least current as of this year. A year ago I tried to find one and they were all out of stock at the few places they were actually on a website. I've got one that is 8 years old. It is only 16 inches wide and I like that. The scenera is 18 inches wide.

Are they maybe still available for institutional/organizational use/purchase, but not for consumer purchase? Like the Assura?

I think it may be a mistake or as the PP said they are only being made and available to certain agencies.

ETA: According to a price list of seats for agencies I just got the Touriva is no longer available.

Wow, they did a GREAT job! THey've got a lot more 'old' stuff in there than they did before. Nicely done, carseat folk!

I was surprised to see how many OHS are being listed as being currently manufactured. I thought they had all stopped production of those seats

I'm told Monika did a good amount of the work on this guide, though I'm sure others helped as well. Feel free to send her a PM with compliments, otherwise I suspect she won't get much recognition for a job well done!
