It was my understanding that Sunshine Kids follow NHTSA rules.
I am thinking there is another... I know the SK Monterey follows NHTSA guidelines, but the Radian has to be replaced after any accident.
What if the seat is unoccupied?
Ok well that is the reason I will give dh for why I had to get that new seat!!! He was in an accident last year, not bad but younger dd's seat was in the car without her in it. The insurance company said it didnt need to be replaced so we didnt replace it....No worries about it though, she has hardly used that seat since the accident, and wont be in it again.Doesn't matter you must follow the manufacture guidelines.
Even unoccupied seats take crash forces on the shell just not the harnesses.
correct me if i'm wrong... most insurance won't replace carseats that's not occupied at the time of the crash. but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be replaced.
