I know that the mods names are listed, and we could see it there. But I think it might be helpful to the newer folks if they were also identified up there by their names.

I know all of the original Admins have it by their names, and I saw that at least one person had moderator by her name, but it doesn't seem that any of the newer mods do, am I just missing it?

I think this is a great idea!

I loved it when before it said beside each sub-forum on the index page who was the mods for that area but I think having it by their names is even easier to know who is a mod especially when they go in and have to sensor posts

I think mine says Moderator. It's a choice in our User CP somewhere, I believe under Group Memberships. If you are, say, a Senior Community Member AND a Moderator, can pick which one to indentify yourself as.

Well, I think it would be nice if you are a tech that you get the title of CPS Technician and then maybe under that the title of moderator. You work hard at both being a tech and a mod I think it should show it in your title :twocents:

AFAIK, this is something Darren has to fix. I just flagged him on it, so hopefully he'll see it tomorrow. He was able to change my title when my certification expired.

Jewels, I agree, I'd love for my title to be able to show that I am both a CPST and a Moderator, not have to pick one or the other, but I never wanted to complain about it.

Moderator isn't an option in my user cp groups either. I had just figured only global mods got the title. :) Although I'd probably choose to keep cps tech if I had to choose between the 2 anyways...

On the board where I'm a mod, we have it set to have your screen name a different color, and when you look at the Who's Online section, mods showed up as a different color there too.

It might be easier to just code a color change.

Well, I just changed my titale to "moderator" just for you guys.

But, Darren, if you get to it I'd love to be a Moderator, CPST, and CPS Fanatic!

I will look into making it easier to identify the Usergroup Leaders and Moderators. It used to be listed on the forum home page but it was kind of cluttered. Within each forum, it does list which Usergroup Leaders and Moderators are assigned to it, under the thread listings.

I've never seen an option for color changes, that would probably require a third party mod. I'll look into it in case it's a simply style or template change I can do.

Much easier than I thought;-)

Titles have now been updated and appear in red for both Moderators and Usergroup Leaders. I was thinking blue, but red matches the chat room...

The colors may only be associated with the Moderator or Usergroup Leader title option in the User CP, so it may appear in the standard color if you have selected an optional title. I'm still tinkering with it so it may change again.

Love the colour change :D

What are Usergroup Leaders and who are they  Is that different then a mod?

It used to be in a sticky or post somewhere but may have been deleted or buried, this is all I could find ( http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?p=65839 ). A while back, the Senior Community Member usergroup used to have usergroup leaders. Members could ask to join and the usergroup leaders could grant it, even if the member hadn't quite reached the required levels of posts, rep and days registered. This allowed for friends to be approved if someone vouched for them, for example. That became kind of a hassle since various new users would ask to join and have to be denied, so now it automatic. The usergroup leaders were also able to moderate the SCM forum.

With the changes last year, the Usergroup Leaders are now for the Community Member usergroup that can allow someone to access the chat room. They also moderate all Coffee Break forums so as to be able to move posts from one to another as needed.
