    Britax Pioneer or Frontier

Is the Frontier that much better than the Pioneer - other than clicktight?

Going to have this seat for 6 years so winder if worth paying premium to get it.

Also considering Graco Nautilis Elite 80.

Any thought, opinion, advice is welcomed- thank you.

    Hi there.

The Frontier and Pioneer have the same top slot height. The differences are the ClickTight, booster belt guide height, and weight limits.

The Nautilus 80 has top slots two inches lower, and a shorter high back booster than the Pioneer or Frontier, but also does become a backless booster.

I find the Pioneer very difficult in a lot of vehicles. What vehicles will you be using the seat in?

Wendy, I just learned from Heather a couple weeks ago that belt guide height is now the same as well. So the only differences are weight and ClickTight.

I would choose Frontier for install ease.

    Re: Britax Pioneer or Frontier

I just bought a Pioneer. We needed to replace one of her car seats and a Frontier was not in the budget. We drive a Honda Pilot and I had no problem installing it. I will say, I've never had a ClickTight seat, so there's nothing to compare it too. The only other combination seat we own is a Graco Tranzitions and the Pioneer was definitely either to install than than the Tranzitions is.

Went Frontier - the ClickTight is worth it. I literally have no issue taking the car seat out for any reason now. Before I would dread having to move it!
