Foonf Lockoffs came off

I went to reinstall my Foonf rear facing yesterday after cleaning out my car and the blue lock offs on each side basically came off in my hand with zero resistance- i have installed this seat many times and this has never happened. It's the smaller blue piece, not the big one that acts like a ski boot. Should I just pop them back on or have they been stressed by previous tight installations?

My daughter is 3 yrs, 1 month. Should I just turn her around and not worry about these lockoffs anymore?

I was going to ask this as well and now I think they might be related. I set the Foonf on my concrete driveway and it ended up getting blown onto it's back. Could this have jarred the lockoffs loose and is it safe to use from that impact? It was reclined for rear facing so not a huge distance from back of seat to the ground, maybe 2 or 2.5 feet. Thanks

Unless there's visible damage that's unlikely to make it unsafe. Seats take a lot more than that. I've heard of lockoffs detaching before so it is likely unrelated. I would call and ask; the company is the place to go with this type of question.

I had this happen. I just reattached it and contacted Clek. There were a new version of the lockoffs that came out a couple of years ago, mine were not those and the redesign was because they could come off. I was sent the new ones for free from Clek but was also told that snapping them back on and using them was still safe, as they don't come off when closed in use.

I wouldn't turn my child FF over this issue. IF you were already planning to do that then go ahead but one of the big perks of the Foonf is the extended RF. I would just email Clek and tell them the issue; they'll probably send you new ones too or at least advise you over the safety.
