I think it's kinda silly. Even though my 31 lb 4.5 year old would be just fine in this seat for quite some time, I would still spend $5-10 more for the 50lb seat....actually I would probably spend the $99 to get the SureRide just for its harness height

Harness height is the same. It's the booster that adjusts taller.
My bad-I read it as SecureKid.
It is slightly taller, though it also seems to have a bit less space to accommodate older, bigger kids.
