This is my newest grandbaby, Elijah. He is 8 days old today and I got to spend the afternoon snuggling him. :love: I did get the necessary car seat pics before they left. ;) LOL He was born 8lbs 13oz and got down to 8lbs at his lowest. He's probably still about that as mom had some bf'ing issues. He's now on the bottle and will start putting some weight back on.

It's not uncommon for a newborn to need the second slots when using the infant insert. That little guy is using the first slots, but it looks like he might be able to use the second ones.

He is well over the first slots, but I don't think he was quite to the 2nd slots.

Yeah I just looked at a pic of DD2 coming home from the hospital, and her head is a little higher on the seat then your grandson. When we got home I moved her to the second slots.
