If your child doesn't have headslump in the Nauti...

what kind of vehicle is it installed in? We had ours in our Ford Fusion over the weekend and there was a whole lotta slumping once he fell asleep. We've had it installed in our Sienna but he's never fallen asleep in it there and I'm wondering if head slump is any better in minivans. TIA!

Outboard in a 06 Civic.

I'm not sure it is 100% dependant on the vehicle, though. I think it is also dependant on the child. Both my DNs who use that seat are "head sideways" sleepers. There is no head slump. :D

I had one that slumped and one that didn't. Both in a highlander outboard and suburban 3rd row outboard and Murano outboard

DS rides in his Beckett Nauti in our '10 Sienna. He gets indentions in his chin from the chest clip b/c his head falls forward while he snoozes. I tried "encouraging" his head to go to the side, but it always finds a way to bob forward. *sigh*

He's 3 yrs old and 37" tall.

We just took a road trip where we drove 10 hrs one way and 12 hrs coming back. Going, he had some issues getting settled in (this was his first long trip in the new seat and FF) and that's when the head started bobbing. It's probably just how he sleeps, though. I know I have seen him nod off and not have his head fall forward but he did it a lot on this last trip.

His biggest complaint is, just after I tighten his straps, he says, "I want to get OUT" and starts squirming. Sometimes, he says the crotch strap hurts (he'll say "Ouch! Dat hurts!" and I'll ask what and he'll point and say, "Down dere.").

The "down dere" hurting is a common complaint of the Nauti with little boys. Another seat might be better suited for his needs of he is expericing head slump and its hurting his boy parts.

I have mine in my Tahoe right now but it actually leans back somewhat so we dont get head slump. :)

I have two in the captain chairs of my Mazda 5, both installed exactly the same. One of my kids has head slump and the other does not  so I think it is different for each kid.

I was hoping that, since he's pretty skinny, the GN would work. I meant to say he occasionally says its hurting him in the crotch area- not all the time.

My 1st instinct was to get the FR85 but read here that it would be overkill due to DS's size. I wanted to get one that would suit him the best & it seemed like the GN was the one. So, we got the GN for $125. I hope it wasn't a mistake.

That's weird my DS says every once in awhile it hurts his boy parts too. He is 32 lbs and 40 in. I think it might have not been the best option for him but will have to wait till he is no longer in a diaper.
