Re: Will this concern us?

I had been waiting to say anything, since before the full list of seats affected by the recall was out I was curious whether or not the 3lb weight limit would be the difference between recallable and not. Sounds like they're being smart and just recalling here, too.

Mine is in the recall. Manufactured: 2010-02-17. Called Evenflo (Veronica) and they are sending out the repair, but I also questioned her on all my stickers bubbling/peeling. She never heard of it before...lol

It says they are sending out a special bracket.. I wonder where it goes on the seat.

I wonder that myself. I wonder if it is cracking by the harness slots, or elsewhere. To me I would think the whole back should be replaced. Will be interesting to see.

My understanding is that it is at the plastic surrounding the harness adjuster mechanism, so completely unrelated to the actual slots in the shell.

eta: I merged this thread and the other thread about the recall together.

consumerreports.org has the video showing the crash tests

the metal piece goes about 3/4in behind the harness adjuster on the plastic on the bottom side

the video showing how to install the piece is on evenflo website
