Any questions for the Combi or Britax reps? (answers from Combi)

I'm supposed to see them both next week at our state CPST update. I thought I'd offer to talk them up for you guys if you wanted me to. I'll keep a list of questions and write down the answers so I can update when I get back or that night etc depending on when I get to talk to them. I can't wait! March 30 and 31st!

Yes! When will Britax be coming out with new seats and what will they be! It amazes me that they are so far behind now.

A second generation of convertibles with a higher RF weight limit has been vaguely hinted at by Britax over the last year. I wish to know if there is truthiness to this.

Replacement covers for the old style frontier and Regent that are now discontinued. My seats will run out of parts before they expire! The Regent already has no covers to purchase!!

Someone on bbc ordered a new replacement cover for her frontier. She said it was improved.

For Britax, first, if they are going to try and fix the problem with the Click & Safe feature where it clicks even when there is still slack in the harness.

Second, if they can come out with a seat similar to the Boulevard/Advocate, but with a taller shell and deeper seat for more leg room for ERF.

I have one of the new covers for the frontier and it has improved. That said, it was a struggle to get that new cover in the first place! I was told they were very low on stock and they basically said because my seat was at the end of it's warranty they weren't sure if they would help me get a new cover. I fought for 3 weeks to get that cover from them! There are no replacement covers for the Regent at this time and they said they won't be ordering them!

For Britax: Any plans to make a booster-only version of the Frontier for people who need the height limits/like how it fits their child, but don't need the harness option?

Or when it doesn't click at all, even when the harness is so tight that it squished the child into a half-size child.

Okay, I'm being facetious. But I have seen a BV CS that I never was able to get to click when the harness was tightened with no child in the seat. I was pulling as hard as I could, the harness twanged like a guitar, still no clicks.

Does either company plan to make a 'quick start' dvd that parents can just stick in the computer/dvd player and WATCH a correct install with latch and seatbelt so that people who don't bother with the owner's manual because it's got 'too many warnings' or whatever can see how to CORRECTLY install their seats without asking for too much attention from them?

You guys are going to keep me busy! lol

For the CS though, the clicking w/ slack still in the harness is not a flaw as far as Britax is concerned. If you watch the video online, you'll see you have to go through about 3 sets of clicks before it's considered tight enough. I think the CS needs to be gotten rid of anyways.

It's very misleading to parents because Britax says it's a "guide" but advertises it as "clicks to help you know when it's tight enough" so parents think once they hear the click, it's good.

I only have a few questions not covered already, for Combi: will the 2nd generation (2010 model) Coccoro covers be compatible with the older Coccoros? And, do they plan to release the Coccoro Flash in any color but tan?
