D-Rings

Is it ok to use a Britax D-Ring when installing a Radian? I can switch it, but it was a pain to get it on there so if I can avoid that it would be fab:D

I cannot see any reason why not. I would consider the D Ring universal for any tether strap.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong...anyone?:)

I think *technically* no, it's not.

As a parent I may or may not have done it  but wouldn't advise another parent to do so in my capacity as a tech.

If somebody wants to look at the little white tags attached to each of the Britax D-ring straps and the Radian D-ring straps.. Are they both made by the same company?

My Britax MA D-ring looks NOTHING like my Radian ones (the metal piece is silvery and small with a small hole). It is a 2009 MA. The tag says the same as Shanora's, as well as having 2 numbers which I am assuming mean serial # etc: 80054002, C3508, and H426600.

The Radian D-ring, from a 2007? RN, is a different strap length, the webbing is different, the metal is golden and is basically a flat, rectangle with chamfered corners and a long opening (looks like an old computer 0). There are no tags on it at all.

I was hoping they'd be made by the same company, so we could ask the company... :(

Physics are the same, regardless, so the reality is that you should be able to safely use either. However, I would never openly ok this with a parent simply because neither company wants to take on the liability of their competition's seat part being used in conjunction with their seat--therefore, neither company is going to officially ok the situation.

I've had 2 different Britax D-rings as well. one from an 07 britax, and the other from an 09. Both a MA

My RN D-ring is way different then both of them. Shorter, and more annoying quite frankly.

I do remember reading on here awhile ago that one company said yes to using the others Dring, while the other company said no. I think it was Britax said no, but SK said yes.... I cant seem to find the thread where that was discussed though. So I'd just change them.
