Check my fit/adjustments on Monterey please?

Excuse her RAGGEDY orange eating, juice dripping, running outside, hair blowing tangled self... *sigh* She looks like an orphan, but has had fun today lol

Need to know if the width and height adjustments look good to you folks. Also, if that is how the seatbelt should lay...

I would actually move the headrest up one notch, the instructions say the belt guide should be a cm above the shoulder. Otherwise looks great! Love how low the lap belt is!

Also, having the head rest up will get the shoulder belt more comfortably in the middle of her shoulder :)

The lap belt fit is excellent.

Can I ask how old/big your DD is? Just for comparisons like "this is how a child of X size fits in the Monterey"

She is a 7 year old that is 51 inches tall and weighs 64 or 65 lbs, depending upon if you go by the scale upstairs or downstairs at the doc last week. :)

She is a real cutie! My 7 year old dd is of similar size, about 62 pounds and 50". My plan was to purchase the Monterey for her soon, but we've yet to see one in person. Do you feel like your dd has sufficient growing room in it? Overall height and shoulder room are my main concerns. Also, I can't decide on a color, could you tell me how you both feel about the pink, comfort wise and how bright it *really* is. Any thing else you think I should know about it will help, too. THANKS in advance!!! =) Have a great day!!

Thanks ya'll. In 'ophan' mode even! Ya'll do a mama heart good :)

I really like the pink color. It isn't 'glowingly' bright, but not a 'baby soft' pink either. IMO it's a good medium which I truly prefer.

At the moment, it's barely above the smallest settings, so I think it will absolutely last her for AGES and still be comfortable. She's itching to go for a ride in it, which we didn't do yesterday but will today, so I'll report back after actual use as well.

even though you already moved the headrest up, I must remind... the monterey REQUIRES at least 1cm between the shoulder and the bottom of the guide... so really, the headrest HAD to be moved up for it to properly be fitted.

Just want to make sure people aren't missing this part in the manual.

Thank you. I DID read that, just thought a cm was 'teeny tiny barely noticable' space. As in 'just not touching'. I will keep it a bit more above. In fact, I'll be taking another pic later to make certain it's enough.

1 cm = .394 inches (just over 3/8") ;)

yeah, 1cm is about 1/2".. about the thickness of your thumb if you have thin fingers... your index or middle finger if you have thicker fingers... and (more for guys) a pinky finger if you have BIG fingers (like my hubby)
