    Car seat recommendations

Hi folks, I have just moved to the US from Canada. I need to replace my kids seats. They are currently 4.5 years in a ffing radian, 6.5 years in a high back Graco turbo booster, and almost 9 (in 2 months) in a low back harmony booster. Car is a Ford freestyle. I know what I would buy in...

Question Are you a manual reader?

It just car seats, but in general. Long before I had car seats I ready the manuals for my phones, calculators, kitchen gadgets, etc. I am just wondering if the type of person to be meticulous about using the car seat correctly is that way about other things in life? Sent from my iPhone using...

    Need thoughts

Our 02 caravan has major issues. DH really wants to try and fix it but I'm totally done with it. We have started looking at replacements and have several different options, I could use your thoughts. We can either wipe out our savings but buy out right, or use part of our savings, take out a...

    TA's for a 2003 Montana

Anybody know if it is possible to get more TA's in the third row of a Pontiac Montana. I know a lady with a day home and she recently got new kids and has more forward facers, she only has one TA in the center back row. I know this is a common caravan problem, wondering if anyone has had a...

    Treasure hunt

It is Treasure Hunt weekend in our town (people put out stuff they don't want and other people come and take it). So these are my "treasures" they are in order by expiration dates. The two all in one seats are not yet expired. They will all be taken apart and trashed as unusable as I can make...

    Rear facing a friends child

I will have a friends child on Thursday. He is 28 months and the same size as B. I told the mom he can use B's spare seat and she doesn't need to worry about leaving one for him. I know he is forward facing and has been since before he turned one because a fireman told her he was too long and...

Question Chocolate Stain on cover and harness

B had a dilly bar incident ;) any tips? I know harness is supposed to be just damp cloth, what would you use? I am guessing a stain remover is ok on the cover, but not the harness. It is a primrose cover so it doesn't hide chocolate very well. We were on our way somewhere so it dried. I...

    My first Dorel seat

Bought my first Dorel seat last night. I have now owned Graco (6 seats), Britax (1 seat), Sunshine Kids (2 seats), and now Safety First. Just think how boring my life would be if I had never found this site. :) Sent from my iPhone using Car-Seat.Org

    Spare seats

Ok, we bought a used van because it was so cramped in the car. I would like to get some inexpensive seats for the car (2002 ford focus) so I don't have to move the radians. The girls won't be in the car much, only for special one on one trips with mommy or daddy. A- 4.5 years old, 44 lbs...

Space between SR35 and front seat?

I got my new SR35 today :) I read the whole manual and the only thing I can find is that it says to make sure the front seat is forward enough to allow for the infant seat. So I am guessing it should not be touching, but there is no 1" rule or anything. Anybody know for sure?

    Help, 3 across

Ok, so I had tried the SR 30 in the states and knew that it fit in our car with the Radians. I was going to wait until it came out and just use that for new baby. Called Elfe today and they said it wont be released until March :( So now I need help, I know I can fit and SR30 and an SR22. I...

    SR30 yet?

Has anybody seen it yet not in a travel system? I looked on the Elfe website and they have listed 3 of them with different covers, but they don't have any information about it yet or what stores to buy it. I really want the 30 because I need a narrow seat and I would prefer a higher weight...

    Sit and stand

What is the difference in the joovy sit and stand and the baby trend one. I am beyond annoyed with how large our giant Graco double stroller is. I have been looking around at second hand strollers and have found both the joovy one and the baby trend for the same price. I would like a sit and...

Similar to the Ford Taurus X

We are still casually looking at cars. One that has peaked our interest is the Taurus X (it is like a 3 row suv, not a car). What other vehicles are similar to this car (three rows, plus storage space in back, plus all wheel/or four wheel drive).

    Where to start? Used car

Ok, so although we will be able to fit 3 across in our 2002 Focus after a 20 hours (each way) road trip for thanksgiving we are realizing that we are probably really going to want something bigger. We have no clue where to start, the focus was given to us so we have zero experience with car...
