New Special Needs Booster Available Soon
Merritt Manufacturing is announcing the launch of the Churchill. The Churchill is a belt positioning booster seat for children and adults with special needs. The weight range is 65 to 175 lbs. There are no shoulder or hip width restrictions. The occupant is comfortably positioned in an upright or slightly reclined position using one or more of the accessories listed below. However, the vehicle's lap/shoulder belt must always be used as the primary restraint for the occupant.

· Vest (Method for torso positioning)
· Chest Wrap (Alternate method for torso positioning)
· Harness Assembly (Alternate method for torso positioning)
· Adjustable EZ-Up Head Rest System (with EZ-Up Caps) which effectively prevents lateral and
forward movement of the occupant's head
· Comfort Pommel for hip inflection
· Stay-Put Pommel to position legs away from the midline
· Pelvic Strap for pelvic positioning
· Hip Inflection Insert to prevent slouching
· Adductor Strap to position legs toward the midline
· Crotch Strap to prevent submarining

In addition, this product must be used in a seating position equipped with LATCH. Total weight of the Churchill is approximately 10 lbs.

Merritt Manufacturing will debut the Churchill at the KIM Conference later this month in Fort Worth, Texas. Product will be available for shipment on September 15th.

I bet it's required to keep the seat bottom in place, since there are no "arms" or back to the seat.
