Has anyone here got their Foonf yet? I've seen a few pictures of one so far, installed in a Mazda 5, in a tech group I'm a member of on Facebook but haven't seen any others yet.

I just ordered mine last night!! Hoping to have it before we live for a big trip at the end of the month. I was spending an embarrassing amount of hours researching between Britax, Radian & Peg Perego and wanted to rear face the longest and have a TALL boy (100% in height) and then found the foonf, and just went for it! It has everything I want...just hoping the shoulders aren't too narrow...they look kinda snug in the photos.

:love:That Mazda5 was my garage last night. I had fun playing but I don't think I will ever buy one.

I just installed my Foonf RF center in a 09 Forester with the seat belt. I love it! There are four tabs that hold the seat belt in place before you close the lock-offs. I am not a tech and have very weak wrists and a bum right thumb, and didn't have any trouble with the installation. I did squat forward facing in the seat to hold it down while I was closing the lock-offs but I also do that with the TFP to make up for my weak wrists. I think if you have regular strength in your wrists it will be easy. If you have the Subie "hump" in the middle, it may look like the front of the car seat base (close to the seat bite) is up off the seat a tiny bit. I stuck my finger underneath and the base is touching the seat; the Foonf base is just wider than the hump and so overhangs the hump a wee bit on each side. I am having my installation checked by a tech on Tuesday. She is strong and I think she may be able to push down on the seat enough to squish down the hump more. I was able to readily get it down enough that the seat barely moves. If I played with it, I might be able to get it in rock solid.
I was very worried that the Foonf was going to block my vision too much RF center but I think it is going to be fine for now. My son's seated height is 22" and I am 5' 5" with a long torso, and the Foonf did not block my vision for going in reverse and only slightly blocked my view of the blind spot. I am sensitive to having anything block my view of the blind spot and I think it will be fine. My son is getting over a stomach virus so I was only brave enough to take a short trip; I didn't want to test the Crypton fabric on it's maiden voyage. BTW, my son loves the seat. He says he likes the view from up there.
One problem that I did run into was on the installation of the anti-rebound bar. In the video on the Clek website, they say to put your finger down the hole in the top of the seat and push down on the tab that is at the end of the anti-rebound bar when the end of the bar is at the mouth of the hole in the bottom of the seat. It is hard to explain but I hope you will see what I mean when you are looking at the seat. Pushing down on the tab is to make the bar slide into the hole on the bottom of the seat easier. Well I have short fingers and that tab is very stiff so it will really lock into place once it is in--according to the Clek customer service rep I called. Since my fingers weren't long enough to reach all the way through the hole from the top of the seat to the bottom of the seat, I had to place the end of the anti-rebound bar at the mouth of the hole in the bottom of the seat and give it a bang with the heel of my palm. It popped in and solidly locked into place. I never like to force anything when I an assembling something because I assume I must be doing something wrong, but the Clek rep said you may have to force it a bit. As I mentioned, I have weak wrists so it couldn't have been that hard of a bang.
I do have one question though. According to my calculations, if you are a Subaru owner, you can't use LATCH RF with anti-rebound bar ever and only FF up to 28 lbs when you use the top tether. Is that right?

All the changing info left me . Is the final rf limit 43" or 1" of shell for the US?

My understanding is that in both countries, the child must be less than 43in AND have 1in of shell above the head. In the US they must be under 50lbs, in Canada less than 40lb.

Thought mine would be here by now. :( Maybe today. I will be out all day today.

Bummer. Do they leave packages at your door if you are gone so they don't have to re-deliver?

If so, what was that address again?
