That is a great price. Does anyone know where I could get a True Fit Premier? I've never even seen one before, but it might suit my needs perfectly.

I was going to get a Marathon since they are on sale now, but I put my 18 month old in one at the store and it just didn't seem that great. It seemed like she would not last that long in it, rear facing. I had my 3.5 year old 35lber sit in the MA and it looked way too small for him for forward facing even. What is the point of having the 65lb weight limit on that seat, there is no way. That store had a True Fit there so I could see the 2 seats side by side. The TF is a way roomier seat that I can see using for much longer. So after looking at the new Marathons, I have a better appreciation for the True Fit. If only it had a rf tether. So now I'm on the lookout for a True Fit with the rebound bar.

Oh wow, since when does Zellers have the Complete Air? That's great! $199, which seems to be "regular" price now, even though they're calling it a "sale" price, but oh well. Hope it comes to our little hole-in-the-wall Zellers because I'd like to play with it.

Be careful buying seats at Zellers though, and always check the date of manufacture. I've been fighting with Zellers for almost 2 years now over their policies. They will sell a seat up to 3 years old for full price. I was not impressed when someone came to me for help with a seat, new in box, to see that it was already 2 years old.

It would also be really nice if they could get the weight ranges right. The flyer online says TF RF 5-22lbs and CA RF 5-30, FF 22-40

It's in. Go play! $199 and $279 as the regular price! They have it right out in the middle of the main store aisle on display and a few people stopped to look and touch when I was there. The head wings just look so cushy. I also had a good chat with the sales girl about their different seats and the fact that the AO is really a big chunk of false advertising and is NOT a suitable booster seat.

Yes I saw the True Fit in the flyer, but then saw the weight range for RF was 5-22lbs. I was going to call them and see if that was really the rear facing weight range, or I may just go check!?

Thanks Selina! You also have to tell her to change the tag on the Scenera that says it RFs to 30lbs. I've told her 3 times already so I can't do it again :p. Yeah, that $279 is a bit behind the times. Even Canadian Tire finally wised up and changed it to $200. Of course, we'll likely never see it in OUR CT .

Kimberly,
That is just a Zellers misprint. It's been like that since forever. The seat is actually up to 35lbs RF, 65lbs forward, and just about every kid on earth is going to make it to 35lbs RF in that thing. It's TALL.

I can't see why the TF would get down-graded from 35lbs. I have seen glaring mistakes in weight limits for Zellers flyers, I have seen a convertible labelled a "booster", they just aren't that reliable. :twocents:

It hasn't changed. The Zellers marketing department just seems to C&P the descriptions from one seat to another.

Which tag is that? I am going to ask John (the store manager) if I can go in to do an info session with the baby dept staff. They have a half-decent selection in there but they really need some assistance in selling the right seat to the right person. I am hoping that we can get some good info sheets made up for each seat at that time. Maybe even a comparison chart to post in the store.

Haven't been in there in a while, but it was a typed-up info tag in a plastic envelope thing. I'm pretty sure it was attached to the display seat. It was a store tag, not a manufacturer's tag.

That would be great if you could do that. Yes, they do have a decent selection, I was surprised.

When I was in there getting my Scenera, a woman with a ~3yo said "Oh, that's a great seat, my son really likes it." Just for fun, I said "Thanks! How long did he fit rear-facing?". To my surprise she said, "He got too tall for it a few months ago." I almost asked if she knew you, LOL.

OK thanks! I just called my local Zellers and they don't have any, surprise...surprise...not really. They rarely have anything that is in the flyer :) love small towns. Anyway, the woman was lovely on the phone and said she is expecting them to come in, so I can go in and pick up a rain-check.

So does anyone know zellers' policy on trying seats in cars? Not that I need a new seat, I've never played with a truefit.

I think that you will most likely have to pay for it, take it outside to try out and then return it if needed. Just don't remove any of the tags.
