DD1 is 4 yrs 10 mon and 41 lbs.

I was really hoping to rf to 5, but I'm thinking this might be outgrown. She still will rf in the MT in my van, but I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and flip her in DHs and my mom's car.

Any thoughts?

Depending on if you take the 1.5" rule literally, or take it as the extra .5" is room for cover fluff at the top, I would find a book or combo of books 1" or 1.5" thick and put them on her head in the seat. To me it looks like she still has some room.

oooh, good idea! I have to bring her to school later today so I'll take another picture with a 1 in. book and a 1.5 in. one as well.

Well I guess whether it's outgrown or not depends on how you interpret their 1.5" rule. Some insist it must be followed, others insist it's just a buffer that's not necessary.
