I e-mailed! :) Can everyone cross their crossables for me? :p

I *really* need this. I have no car and live in walking distance of everything- but with two kids, it's HARD. This would help us out SO much.

OKAY I was thinking that rain cover meant canopy. NEVERMIND THAT, lol. Those pics have the canopies on them

Is it one or two canopies? Hmm..

It is one canopy and it is teeny tiny. Maybe it would be ok if you lived somewhere with no wind or rain or snow, but we lived in WA and it was a joke.

ETA: there is no canopy in the pic. What you are seeing is the extra fabric that allows the recline bunched at the top. Sorry if I was unclear; I meant the canopy sucks and to get the plastic rain cover instead of a replacement canopy if money is tight.

ahh, thanks for the clarification! & yeah, I'm in Chicago so...

ETA:I think the canopy is necessary for the rain cover to fit correctly and not lay on top of the kids- right?

Ah it might be actually.

ETA: yes it appears to be necessary. So factor that into your purchase price... I just looked on craigslist near my inlaws to see if there were any MBUDs down there for sale, but alas they are all $500+. I'm not even convinced I would need a double; a single would probably be plenty, but I wanna MBUD!

Yeah, it probably is. You can buy a replacement canopy, and a rain cover, and still come out at less than the original cost, though...

(I love mine. I got one plus a bassinet for $450 shipped; it was a steal for that price. I adore it. I can actually let my oldest sit on the footrest when she gets tired, and push all 3!)

We got part of our taxes today, and this really is something we need... I just don't know if we should buy used and risk issues or save up and buy brand new and have it last through all of our kids, if we have more.

I am a MB nut and live in Chicago!

The BJCCD does not have as good of a push and is over-priced. I would go with the plum MB if it is in good condition. I don't think they are going to get $350. I would offer $275-$300. I would pass on the one without the canopy. That tells me that they have not been so great in taking care of their stroller and yes - you need the canopy in order for the rain cover to work. In Chicago, you need the rain cover to shield the kids from the freezing winds.
