Which Snugride 22 or 30?

We are having our third child soon and need to get a new car seat. We have used a SR 22 with our first two and I love it but am wondering how much larger is the 30 compared with the 22? The 22 barely fits behind the driver seat in our GMC Acadia so I can't get anything that is larger. It can be wider but not longer. Is the 30 that much bigger? I don't care about having a car seat last longer since my kids are on the smaller side and I prefer to move them around 10 months to a RF Roundabout.

Thanks,
Shawna

I have a Snug Ride 30, my SIL has a Snug Ride 22.
The dimensions for the 22 are: 24.2H x 17.5W x 26.7D"
The dimensions for the 30 are: 24H x 16.5W x 27D"

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty and the 30 fits but only outboard on the passenger side. The passenger seat is forward about 2 inches more than the driver's seat and it does not recine back any.

My main reason for buying the Snug Ride 3 was the front adjustable harness straps. Way easier than the 22.

If you have small children, I would recommend the Snugride 30. It does a better job of fitting small newborns. There are more harness slot levels and the bottom set can fit a 4lb baby very well. The harness needs to be at or below the infants shoulders and I had a Snugride 22 and a Snugride 32 when my twins were born (5lb 15oz and 6lb 11oz) and neither of them were tall enough to fit the the 22 (short torso and short babies).

Thanks for your responses. I want to get a SR 30 I'm just worried it will be too large. I remember we barely had room to fit the SR 22 last time and anything larger would not fit.

I noticed most SR22 are rear adjust but there are a few front adjust which is what I would get.

Thanks again!!
