Where can I see the Recaro Prosport?

It sounds like this is a great seat, but I feel like I need to try it before I buy it. Is there a place I can look at it in person or even an online store that I can return it even if it has been opened and installed?

Also, how is it for seatbelt installs?

I have seen them at Buy Buy Baby in store. I don't know if there is one near you, though.

Sometimes locally baby boutiques will carry them. I love my ProSport. I wrote a review here.

For seatbelt installs, they are really easy IMO. The belt path is open, so it's weird, but it makes it really easy. Sometimes the lap portion sticks out, and Recaro will send you a wedge to fill the space if you call and ask. My DS (who has spina bifida and has a scar on his lower back) has never complained so I haven't bothered. Also, the shoulder portion can cross right where the harness comes out on the upper slots. Recaro suggest unthreading that side, letting the shoulder belt go above the slot, and then rethreading the harness. Again, I had that "problem" but it wasn't pulling the harness out of place so much that I couldn't get it tight enough on the unaffected side, so I left it. Day-to-day, it's installed with LATCH right now anyway.

It also has some weird rules for the TT. It must be disconnected at 52lbs, I think. At that point, it has to be installed with lap/shoulder belt (not just a lap belt). I'm still not sure how I feel about that, but given DS's currently weight, I don't think he'll still be harnessed at 52lbs anyway.
