When did Cosco stop making 3-pt harness infant seats?

I'm trying to get some info to get a very expired looking seat removed from kijiji, but want to educate the mom in the process. She's says there's no stickers of any sort left on the seat but claims she bought it "new" three years ago - ha!

Hi LP, if you are the LP I know from CPO. I am Anna's mom, I used to hang out with that crowd a few years ago but have lost touch. I took the CRST course two weeks ago, I didn't know you were one too LP, that's great!

I know that it is technically illegal, but was just wondering a ballpark on the age so I can educate her about seat expiry because I don't think the sticker argument is going to cut it with her, especially since she's claiming it's only 3 years old.

If she's belligerent about the stickers too I'll just report the ad via ticket and get it deleted that way but I always like to try and throw a bit of education their way first - some people are very receptive. I told someone this week their seat was expired and they had no clue - they are buying a new one for their new baby and now coming to me for all sort of info and maybe even some help installing which is awesome!

I'm going to guess about three years ago is the last time I saw a cosco arriva at walmart, etc. Certainly it was less than six years ago, meaning there is a good chance the seat you're seeing on kijiji is not yet expired.

Eta: feel free to post the ad. Most of us can get a ballpark DOM just based on the pattern of the seat.

Here it is, she has emailed me back to clarify that she bought it 2nd hand but it was BNIB from the woman she got it from, hence why she told me she bought it new.

She's being very cooperative and asking for more info and will chuck it if it's expired, so please no one send her an email or flag the ad, she's being very nice and will delete it herself if I tell her it's recalled. I'm telling her about the stickers now.

I have no idea about the seat, but that pic is just hilarious! I don't think I've ever laughed out loud at a Kijiji ad before.

Do you know for sure it's a 3 point? It's hard to tell from the picture. Maybe someone with recognize the print of the cover, but according to the Pictorial Guide they are current as of 5/2010 (the 5 point version) Even so, without the stickers it definitely shouldn't be used/sold.

Well I will tell her we can't figure out the exact age yet but I've already told her about the stickers. She seems very receptive so I hope she tosses the seat.
