What do you do when......

you see ads posted on sites such as craigslist that are obviously expired seats or don't state the date of manufacture in their ad.

Do you contact the seller, post an ad about the ad stating the errors, something else, or do nothing?

I see ads pop up like this all the time and hesitate to contact them but don't want to not contact them either.

Me too. If they don't take it down, I flag it. I keep a post up about choosing a used car seat. It has helped a lot in my area.

Do you ever get a response or a nasty email back. Do you see them adding info or do they remove their ads?

I've gotten nasty responses back, but I use an email that is not at all identifiable to me. Honestly though, most ignore me.

I usually don't bother with an email unless I am sure the seat is not made anymore and easily identifiable as expired.

I have gotten emails stating they would take the add down, which they do, offers to give me the seat, which I do, and have done seat checks.
