What Combination seat has the highest harnessed shoulder height limit?

My son will be seven in April 2012. He is currently 52 lbs, 47 inches tall, and a 16 inch torso height. He is currently harnessed in a Graco Nautilus which I believe has a 18 1/2 inch torso limit for the five point harness. How long do you think it will take his torso to grow 2 1/2 more inches? I am a little worried because he is not ready to use a booster, I know that he will not sit properly. I know that the Britax Frontier has a harnessed torso height limit of 20 inches, but I was wondering if there was a seat with a limit higher than that? TIA!

No, nothing taller than the Frontier. But he probably has 2.5 years in the Nautilus harnessed by torso height, so I wouldn't stress over him outgrowing it soon.

Oh, that's perfect then. Growing 2 1/2 inches sounds like such a small amount that I was worried we were talking about a few months. But if he has at least another year, hopefully two, then I don't need to worry about getting him another seat. Thanks!

I agree with Wendy. The Britax Frontier is the tallest seat on the market. We have a similar seat (Britax Regent) and my DS fits in it at 53in tall and 69lbs. My DS will turn 7yo next week.

I think there are some special need seats that will keep children harnessed even longer. If there is a medical reason for your DS needing a harness seat, you will probably want to explore these options for other seats. My understanding is that insurance may cover the costs of a special needs seat, but it can be a long process to get it covered.
