True Fit Question

My 8 mo. old, 19 lb. son has just inherited his sister's True Fit. She was too big by the time I got it to use the padding (height and head pillows) that came with it. I know the manual says it should not be used past 22 lb. I would like to use it for him until he reaches that point b/c it seems to help him with the side to side fit (when he falls asleep, his head seems SO uncomfortably tilted), but there doesn't seem to be ANY way to make it really work for him (pillow is far too low when placed on the shoulder straps) for it to help his head at all. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the way it is and it's not going to work for him? I'm sure he's fine without it..just looks super uncomfortable you know? Also wondering if you have ever used the rest of the padding but not the head pillow?

I used the infant padding without the pillow when the straps were really far down DD back. I don't think it's an issue.

I never used the pillow that attached to the harness. It never sat in a good spot for DS.

Is he actually uncomfortable, or are you thinking he's uncomfortable? Remember, he's spent more time in a house the size of a basketball than out of it, so he's honestly not bothered. He's flexible.
