Traumatic brain injury, car seat

Any suggestions on how to fit a child meeting these criteria:
7 year old
47 1/4 inches
58 lbs
Chin draws down to chest, no head control (holds neck in rigid flexion)
In tilt in space wheelchair so does not thrust out of chair
Have to fit 6 children all under the age of 9yo in van
Trying to use a conventional seat with:
higher weight/ height limits forward facing w harness
recline ability in forward facing
Head support
And not too wide so other seats can fit alongside it as needed
Looking at Diono Radian RXT
Other thoughts?

He likely wouldn't fit in a radian or would be close to outgrowing it. The tallest conventional seat is the Britax Frontier 90. It isn't very reclined. Next is the Evenflo SureRide.

The Frontier also isn't narrow, so it would make getting that many other kids in the car difficult to say the least. I would try the Sureride.

The child is being released from the hospital, trouble shooting options for discharge. I will meet the family tomorrow & we will look at options & needs. The car seat needs on discharge will be different than when admitted. Child was admitted as the result of a car crash. Thanks.

My first thought is to try a Sureride and install on a somewhat reclined vehicle seat. That's really the only convertible I feel sure is tall enough. That's a lot of seat to transfer a heavy child into though. One of the Britax combos would also be an option, but with other seats in the mix it may be too wide and pretty expensive. Also expensive and won't last long by weight, but may possibly work, the Chicco Nextfit and Graco 4Ever.

If you can't find a solution, is paratransit transport in the wheelchair possible?

Wow! That's a tall order.

As Safeinthecar stated, that's a big child to transfer into a car seat. How much is the child able to help with the transfer? Whenever someone says "tilt in space" w/c I automatically think lots of motor involvement

I, too, would think a SN seat or w/c transport would be needed in order to get recline, support and allow for future growth.

IIRC, an 86-y harness can be used with a high back booster. . . that would provide upper body support.
