What about the higher weight limits?

I think unless kids are super peanuts, the weight limits are comparable to the size of the seat. I think heigher weight limits may make it unattainable for the size of the shell on the seat.

Ex. A's huge but he outgrew the CCO via height and weight about the same time.

Super excited about the tethering  I would :love: a purple cover though, not lavendar, like bright purple.

I'm going to a tech 'class' of sorts next moth and Vera will be there, excited to find out more information.

I'm just debating on ordering it now since Target has the Cherry Pie DH wants for $160, or wait. This will be our last baby planned for at least 5 year, so I'm not worried about passing it down to a younger sibling.

LOL Figures. I have the new D rings.

Not a big deal, but it'll be good when it happens.

Wendy

I think I have an old Britax D ring tucked away somewhere. If I'd be happy to trade if you want.

ETA: Found it. DOM is Aug '05. Do D rings expire? Still good for a few months if they do. It's yours if you want it. ;)

I just read that The Car Seat Lady is hooking coccoro tether anchors directly to some seat tracks (the ones that this is possible). It also sounded like she does this with some other seats as well. Is that really allowed? I thought you had to use a d-ring or a top tether anchor. (For coccoro or sk it would have to be in front of the seat.)

Yeah I was confused by that too

My understanding is that the D-ring is just used to create a tether point where there is none. I don't see the harm in hooking the tether directly to something, provided it doesn't interfere with anything.

I JUST ordered the Cherry Pie CCO from Target.. and now they're coming out with one new and improved?! I'm so torn! Daniel still fits in the KF30 and he'll probably still be fitting in June, so I suppose I could hold out... What to do? I like the idea of a seperated infant insert, sort of like the KF 30, right? Daniel grew out of the lower piece early on (it only goes to 14lbs and that was around 4 months for him I think) but he liked the support of the head rest for a long time. If I moved him to CCO, I think he'd be too big for the insert, but I'm sure he'd like the extra head support. Hmmmm... what to do?
