Question Tether question

When I install in the center of my second row the tether attaches on the floor of the third row. If I fold the third row the tether comes out between the 2 folded seats. Is this ok? It's a 2008 ford explorer.

Sorry - I'm not terribly famililar with your car, but is that the only center tether location? My SUV w/ the 3rd row has two tether anchors for the middle seat; one for when the 3rd row is up and one for when it's laid down.
