Question Tallest latchable HBB under $100?

I am looking for dedicated high back boosters... that will last the longest, with LATCH and are under $100.

So far the only one I'm seeing that is both latchable and under $100 is the Graco Affix, right?

Yet if a child has outgrown a Regent, the Affix isn't going to get them very far, correct?
I believe there is only about an inch of difference with torso height between the Regent (20 inches) & the Affix/Turbo (21 inches)?

Then the non latchable tallest ones under $100 would be:

The Cosco Pronto
The Safety 1st Boost Air Protect

Am I also correct there?

Is there other options I'm missing? Or am I stuck with the Pronto or Air Protect?

Thanks in advance.

OMG purple. I love purple.

I guess that technically... I only have to get one right now.
Only one kid has outgrown the seats... no need to get two boosters right now...

And this would give us an extra 20 pounds and several inches...

Hmmm.... now where can we go LOOK at the Monterey and Parkway in a store?

What about the Recaro boosters? Do any of those go to comparable heights?

The Parkway is actually cheaper on Amazon:

And the Monterey is about the same:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Diono-Monterey-Booster-Seat-Red/dp/B005MQRDSY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357800403&sr=8-1&keywords=monterey+booster"]Amazon.com: Diono Monterey Booster Seat, Red: Baby[/ame]

I had seen that about the Monterey requiring a headrest. I hate it when they come out with something different later.
I had read the manual when we were looking at them before and it specifically showed the Monterey above the vehicle seat back.

Also, does it have to be a "headrest" or does it work if the vehicle seat is that high?
Or if it's a truck with a window behind it that doesn't have head rests?

Also... is this still accurate?

https://sites.google.com/site/carseatmeasurements/

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvfUm4x64h3AdEh6WWV0V1NVM05aS0ozMHZQT19nTVE&hl=en#gid=0

Because it says that the Safety 1st's highest slot is an inch higher than the Monterey or Parkway.
So that would make the weight limits the difference?

The only issue with the Monterey and probooster is the required head rest. I've seen the sg or sgl at bru. Never seen a Monterey in store.

My probooster manual (seat's DOM is 12/12) specifically states to remove the vehicle headrest to get a good fit to the vehicle seat.

Another latchable booster under $100 is the Compass 570
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Compass-Pathway-Adjustable-Booster-Sticks/dp/B006JW9PDG"]Amazon.com: The First Years Compass Pathway B570 Adjustable Belt Booster Seat, Sticks & Stone: Baby[/ame]

No one has submitted any measurements for it though so I don't know the top harness slot for it.

Today is the last day of the Kohl's sale and I got a Monterey by stacking coupons BORNTOSAVE and CHILLY15 for around $90 free shipping, plus tax. Going through ebates.com or mrrebates.com earns you another 3% back. If you have a Kohls nearby you can return seats to the store.

I talked to Diono about the headrest issue because I didn't want to order a Monterey and then have to deal with waiting for a replacement headrest. The CS rep said to order either Green or Tangerine and all of those colors should have the new headrests. I haven't received the seat yet, so I can't confirm.

Yeah I have the Frontier 80.
My manual actually has instructions for LATCH and tether in booster mode. It also has instructions for no LATCH.
It just isn't clear on whether it's okay to use with ONLY the top tether. But I'm guessing it is or it would clarify that.

I think I'm going to use the Nautilus as a booster for now until the other seats are outgrown.
(The Nautilus is outgrown by weight already.)
We still have a bit of room in the Frontier (I could have sworn I put it on the highest setting, but apparently not.)
And there was still another slot in the Regent that I could have sworn I moved them up to as well.

Okay we have the Frontier's in the truck... which should get us through the winter.

We have the Nautilus as a booster in the SUV and the Regent. (The other Regent expires this month.)

And we have a spare Nautilus booster.

Now we are off to go for a drive and practice booster use.
