Ok, this is my friend I am asking about and I do have permission to post her dilemma here.
She has a Ford Escort wagon. I am not sure what year it is, but it doesn't have top tether anchors and it does have locking seatbelts that lock at the retractor if that helps.
She has three girls. The two year old is center position, forward facing in the middle (lap belt only) in a 2007 Graco Comfortsport. She is only 25 pounds and could be rear facing but the mom doesn't want to do that.
The 8 year old is on one passenger side. She does not pass the five step test and needs a booster. She is not required to have a booster per the laws of the state and mom does not want to fight her on it (don't get me started )
The question is for the 10 year old. The ten year old is about 4 foot ten or eleven, about 90 pounds, and passes the five step test.
This car does not have head rests in the back. Would the ten year old be safer in the rear with no head rest or in the front with a head rest
