I am posting this here and hoping someone can give me some guidance. My daugther has a Stingray Stroller. This is an adapted stroller (or wheelchair) and is approved for use in vehicles. Part of the transportation option on this stroller is a little red lever you can flick up or down. When one direction it locks the base (wheels) to the seat so that the child doesn't go flying off in the car. The other way it makes it possible to get the seat off for storage. This switch broke and fell off in May! We got the piece replaced and installed today and once they left I went to check it. It was nonfunctioning. It was stuck in one position and the wrong one. I called the company and was told someone would be out in a few days. After climbing the ladder there I got someone bad out and it took just a few minutes to fix. I want to report this to NHSTA because it could have lead to a childs injury or worse. How hard would it have been for them to make sure it worked? So does anyone have a contact I could get in touch with at NHSTA? The complaint doesn't seem to fit into the online fields. I want to report the company that installs but also am hoping they will look into the design of the safety switch so that it A.doesn't break and B is easier to install correctly.
Thanks in advance!
