Replacing booster but keeping pad and cover

I am replacing my booster seat. I am keeping my cover which I am sure makes no difference but I will also be keeping my pad. The new seat will be 5 years younger than the new seat. Should I also replace the padding? Does the padding make any difference for safety?

I'm confused too. What boosters are these? Most with a 5 year difference will be different models even if they have the same name so the cover may not fit. It really depends on what it is.

Yep replacing with the same kind and yes the cover and pad should fit
