Regent

I was just curious if any of you had heard anything about the Regent coming to Canada eventually? I'm asking because the other day I was in Regina in the store where I bought my MA, and I was discussing carseats with the owner. Anyways, she mentioned that Canada will be getting the Regent in a while, like a year or so. Does this have any truth to it, or have any of you guys heard anything? Thanks!

I haven't heard anything, but I'd wondered if we might get the regent now that the weight limit has been increased & some of the code clarified for US manufacturers.

Experiences through the last 8-9 yrs tell me to believe it when I see it on the shelves. We can't even get a straight answer with the restickering of the Marathon, let alone anything 1 yr down the road with Britax.

Not that I'm saying it's not a good thing. It would be awesome if the Regent is here, even only legally to 65 lbs, but at least it gives us a bigger seat with taller top harness slots.

But, if the distributor can't even commit to availability of seats in Canada for a certain time frame because Britax can't give him a straight answer, then what's the chance a store owner or us to get some sort of firm idea of Britax's plan, kwim?

Yeah, that's what I kind of thought too. She actually told me that when they are told something is coming in whatever amount of time, it's always longer than that. But then afterwards she told me about the Regent so I figured that maybe it was possible. It definately would be nice!
