I've read conflicting information regarding the expiration date (even on this site.) Do some models of the recaro start never expire? And if so, which ones?

That used to be true. I want to say they changed in 2005 or 2006? It was right before I became a tech, but I'm not positive.

I'd give Recaro a call with the exact model number and date and see what they say.

Thanks! Sorry, was a little confused but I think it's because at first everyone was under the impression that they did not expire. After pressure, the company said 8 years from DOM. I should call them and ask for clarification but I believe they will stand by the 8 years to protect themselves in an event something happens and a lawsuit emerges.

Just got off the phone with recaro. First of all, she didn't even know what seat I was talking about. And then she gave the generic 6 years from DOM response. Maybe I should email and see if I get a different answer, lol
