quick GN expire question

I don't have one anymore and a friend is asking.

We are thinking the harness and high back modes both expire Dec of 6th year, which would have been last month and that the backless has 2 years on top of that.

Is this correct?

That depends.

For seats made before summertime 2011 (not sure when the exact switch was) the harness and high back were December after the sixth birthday, then the backless was December after the ninth.

For seats made since summertime 2011, it's 10 years for the whole thing.

So if it was made in 2008 then the harness and high back are good until the end of the year.

If it was made in 2007 it expired a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for asking this and thanks for the clarification. Mine was made in 12/2007, so is now expired in harness mode. Too bad it wasn't made a month later. I would be able to use it another year.

Even though she got it in 2008, I am pretty sure the DOM was 2007, so just expired other than backless.
