Question Problems with 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I had to buy a used vehicle and transferring my childs car seat and having difficulties.

I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The shoulder strap does not lock and ratchet to secure the seat in place.

Any answers welcome. I need to drive tomorrow morning.

Sorry frustrated dad. The seatbelt locks at the buckle. If you compare that buckle to the driver's side buckle you'll see they look different. The passenger seatbelts are lightweight locking latchplates.

What carseat do you have, and are you installing it rear or forward facing? How old and heavy is the child?
